@Banjo- I used to write longer reviews in this thread, but that was one of the casualties when I decided to try to spend a bit less time online lol.

A fair answer regarding Pikmin 4 since it isn't out yet. I don't mind challenge in games depending on my mood, but to me there's a difference between "Hard, yet mechanically sound/fair" and "Troll the player as much as possible with cheap enemy/hazard placement (looking at you, earlier Mega Man titles), costly deaths, and/or iffy game design and bad AI". I do support various difficulty settings and modes in games however. I didn't dislike Pikmin 3 by any means; just that I think I was underwhelmed and slightly frustrated by some game design choices.

I appreciate the offer regarding FF, but at the very least I'd have to relocate to the UK first.

@Tyranexx I know what you mean. Hard difficulty with fair mechanics and controls is fine if I'm on the mood. That reminds me of NEStalgia complaints about Tears of the Kingdom regarding controls. Do you remember Metroid Prime 2 battles? Those battles are hard but fair. I have barely played Mega Man games but I know what you mean, the early games seem torture but they have fans that probably grew up playing them and learning every enemy emplacement by heart 😂.

@Banjo- I seem to have missed NEStalgia's complaints - I don't check some site sections as much - though in a couple of cases I can agree regarding TotK's controls. Particularly regarding throwing items since I've accidentally lobbed a weapon a couple of times instead. And Ultrahand isn't always as precise as I'd like. Minor complaints ultimately. I have played Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, though only the objectively "easier" version in MPT. Even then, I found MP2 the most difficult of the bunch. I do agree it's hard yet fair. I tried to get into the earlier Mega Man titles and even beat Mega Man 2, but I wouldn't have managed without restore points. They weren't always bad, far from it, but some deaths felt very cheap indeed.

@Tyranexx I completely agree about everything you said. I played a bit of Megaman when the first legacy collection was part of Game Pass. I also played the demo of 11 that obviously feels smoother and friendlier.

@Banjo- I did have a slightly better experience with Mega Man X on the SNES Classic, but that still wasn't quite enough to convince me. The game still suffered from a small handful of the same issues IMO. I should try the demo of Mega Man 11 at some point at least. Beats biting on the full game lol.

I beat MGS4 not too long ago and to this day it's still a lot to take in. Hate a lot of the twists(like what they did with the MGS3 team and the dumb Liquid Ocelot reveal at the end) but I also love a lot of the story beats(Rex Vs Ray, everything with Raiden). Also the final boss and the ending were very good

Magician

Spidersaurs

Co-op run'n'gunnin' fun. I think the game looks great, sounds great, and plays fairly well. But...I think it follows Contra's design...too well. Lots of cheap deaths. Whether it's ranged enemies spawning at odd angles to the weapons you have equipped, leaving you unable to defend yourself. Or enemies with greater movement speed than that of your character, resulting in bad touch...after bad touch...after bad touch, cause you to burn through your continues quickly.

6/10 - Good game, but tough to recommend.

For example, Cuphead is a tougher game yet feels more fair and rewarding to play than Spidersaurs.

I just reached the end credits in WarioWare: Get It Together! over the weekend. Not that the story modes in WarioWare titles are by any means long lol. It has the microgames everyone knows and loves, but with a twist; you play and complete them as a mix of different characters - unlocked as you progress in story mode - from the WarioWare series. Each character has their own gimmicks abilities to navigate the game world, which varies from movement to ways of interacting with objects (tackling, shooting a certain direction only, throwing game disks while remaining stationary, etc.). There are a ton of extras to do even after the credits, including various single player and multiplayer games/modes (Favorite one is a WarioWare Smash Bros. clone), leveling up characters, giving them "prezzies" obtained from chicken gacha machines (collect them all!), and of course...score chasing everywhere.

Overall, this is a fun WarioWare title and recommended for series fans...or even if one is looking for a party game. It isn't my favorite WW title by any means (This award is jointly held by WarioWare: Smooth Moves and WarioWare Gold), but it's certainly worth a look even with its gimmicky nature. There's also an eShop demo for anyone on the fence.
