But if it's a similar length as the main game, that's pretty big for a mobile game. If you include all the DLC and end-game stuff, there's probably about 60 hours. 60 hours of a fairly high production story-based game.
There probably aren't many mobile games that fit that description.
Yeah. I'm rather curious to see how everything fits. Unfortunately, unless Square are data size wizards, I doubt my tablet could hold it (unless I deleted every other app I have).

I can only hope it will be just a few gigabytes. But they seem to be more interested in keeping the characters talk every ten seconds with voice acting than in keeping the file size nice and cozy.
Still, the lower quality graphics should go a long way in making the game considerably smaller.
I can only guess but I'd think it's entirely possible that it'll be under 12GB.
A single episode will 100% be lower than that. So just do what I said and do 1 episode at a time. Assuming they're smart enough to let the savefiles store independently of the game.
They don't really need to cut it out entirely, the game clearly has subtitles/speech bubbles already, so they'd just need to limit voice acting to just important scenes and keep everything else as text.
However, the few gameplay videos I could find feature full voice acting for everything and anything.
If it's anything like the other ports, we'll need to hope they add cloud saving. For whatever reason, saves can't be accessed directly unless you root your device. It kinda sucked when I got my new tablet, as I was playing Dimensions on my older one, but couldn't bring the save over to my new one. Thankfully, I didn't get far, but yeah.
I think FFs 3-6 have the cloud though. Not sure about 7-9.
Another concern; assuming they retain FF XV's open world to some extent, swapping chapters might not be viable. Especially if one chapter's data has a lot of a certain area. Though, on the flipside, that could actually help (one chapter has an entire area plus it's story and side missions, another chapter just adds it's story and side missions to the pre-existing area).

It's clear from the gameplay previews that the open world has been reduced quite a bit. It's nowhere near as large as the original. Still open-ish areas though.
I can't imagine them having the entire world seamless though. For one thing, it's just not worth it with a top-down viewpoint. You can't see more than 10 metres away from you anyway. Completely ruins the enjoyment of an open world where you can see things in the distance so then go and explore them.
Rewatched the trailer of the Final Fantasy VII remake. I'm not gonna lie, it looks exactly like the remake I envisioned before I really got into Final Fantasy. Whether that's a good or bad thing, we'll see. I'll also posit that Trump reminds me of my Ideal president I envisioned during that same time period, so the track record's not looking good so far.
Watched through World of Final Fantasy and I must say that I hope that SE will do more stuff with this world- it looks great and I love the idea of Mirages
I can't believe I never finished World of FF, it was oozing with charm. The English dubs were a bit grating at times, though, but in a funny way. I need to make the time for it one day
What a coincidence. When I saw Trump on TV as president of the US, I thought "that guy would make a good gameshow host"
Oy vey, don't remind me. I actually watched a few episodes of the game show Trump used to host before it was cancelled. He just painted himself as an insufferable jerk that people were going to stupid lengths to try to impress...
That aside, after I talked to my brother about Final Fantasy XV Steam Edition, he's been keeping up with it. It sounds like the file size requirements are over 100GB! Wow! Even if that's just doubled for the install, that's a pretty big game! Certainly bigger than what it used to be on the PS4. Now I really am glad I'm trading up. I'm more than sure now that I'd have to download over 30 gigs just for the various updates, let alone the DLC. I tried downloading Warframe the other day, and wound up spending the rest of the evening bored out of my skull, since apparently 30 GB takes over 8 hours for my connection to download! Everything else got throttled, so I couldn't do anything on the computer, and playing PS4 games just seemed to slow it down. So, yeah, I really don't want to sit through that again...
Yeah I really don't know what all that space is for in FFXV. I remember when I downloaded the combined updates in December it was about 24GB. So that's all of the updates to the base game that've been combined since launch, but not including the DLC.
Really no idea what's taking up all of that space. Texture, video and audio take up the most space.
Part of it is that they added some video from Kingsglaive at the beginning. But no idea what the rest is.
