Nintendo has finally released DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which is officially the best-selling Switch game with 43.35 million copies sold at the last count. By the time it's finished, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Pack will contain 48 tracks taken from previous games in the series, along with the odd new track.
The tracks will be released in six waves — the first one launched in March 2022 and the final one is coming at the end of 2023. We've also listed all existing Mario Kart 8 tracks below.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Release Date
The first wave of circuits arrived on Friday, March 18th, 2022.
Wave 2 became available on Thursday, August 4th, 2022.
Wave 3 was made available on Wednesday, December 7th, 2022.
Wave 4 came out on Thursday, March 9th 2023.
Subsequent waves will take place all the way up until the end of 2023. Don't expect Mario Kart 9 any time soon!
What Time Does The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Release?
Wave 1, Wave 2, Wave 3, and Wave 4 are all available now. Wave 5 and 6 will be out before the end of 2023.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Price
The DLC costs $24.99 USD / $32.99 CAN / £22.49 but comes at no additional cost if you own a paid Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership.
If you're buying the pass, this is a one-off cost; once you've paid the cash, you'll get access to every wave of tracks as they're released until the end of 2023.

Do I Need The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass To Play The New Tracks?
Nope! Nintendo has confirmed that only one player needs the Booster Course Pass to play online in Friends and Rivals races:
Courses from wave 1 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass can be played from March 18th locally or online in Friends and Rivals races, even if only one player owns the Booster Course Pass or has access to it as part of a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership. From March 22nd, courses from wave 1 will also appear in the Random selection when playing Global or Regional races with anyone online.
