@ZeldaFan83 if we use precedent from Nintendo it makes even less sense what you are saying since all their handhelds had backwards compatibility as well as the Wii and Wii U.
I'm not even saying that it is a guarantee that it will have BC, just that it is not confirmed that it won't "because Nintendo".
We have decades of precedent by Nintendo. Which would you like?
@ZeldaFan83 why are people so insistent of being "right" and "winning" the argument? I just said that we can't really say that the next console will or won't have BC "because Nintendo". That's all I said.
And, again, all their previous portables before the Switch had BC, from the Gameboy to the 3DS. And if they go for a "safe" sequel of the Switch, it wouldn't be weird of it had BC.
@WaffleBoat Probably another 2+ years off from that. Animal Crossing would be better saved for next gen and NH is selling gangbusters and they can probably afford to coast on it until next gen.
