Review Super E.D.F. Earth Defense Force (Wii U eShop / Super Nintendo)
All buck and no bang!
Its certainly no secret that the 16-bit era of gaming was a great time to be a shoot em' up fan. Not only were there a large number of titles released, there were also some of the best the genre ever had to offer on display. While the Sega Mega Drive and NEC PC Engine were the definitive hot spots to get your shooter fix, the...
Review Super E.D.F. Earth Defense Force ( / Super Nintendo)
Emergency on planet earth
Back in the 16-bit wars, the SNES was unquestionably the comfortable winner when it came to RPGs. Sega's Mega Drive (or Genesis, depending on where in the world you're reading this) was completely and utterly outclassed in this area, despite the presence of brilliant titles such as Shining Force, LandStalker and Light...
About The Game
An evil organization, named AGYMA, threatens the 200 years of peace the galaxy has enjoyed.
From their base on the far side of the moon they have infiltrated many important locations on Earth. Working for the Earth Defense Force, you are the lone pilot of a special craft designed to fight off AGYMA: the XA-1.
The game is a side-scrolling shoot 'em up with 6 levels, and you have a total of 8 state of the art weapons with which to fend off the attacks and thwart AGYMA's plot to destroy Earth and disrupt peace throughout the cosmos.

Super Earth Defense Force is such a good game, even though there are moments of slowdown here and there. The soundtrack is really cool, though I wish I could beat the fourth stage boss.
Never heard of this game before (but I also never owned a SNES, sigh). However, looks like my kind of game.
I hope this comes out in Canada!
Always wanted this there are nice reviews on you tube but the cart can get expensive on e-Bay.
