I killed my first gleeok with level 2 armor, 25 hearts and three dungeons complete.
Having a multishoot bow and several keese/etc eyes is a great help, since you can wreck the heads in a single bullet time session, and they get fall damage in proportion to how high up they are, so it’s the main source of damage tbh.
And yes, having a reliable way to activate bullet time is important.
I got my first one last week, it took me a lot of preparation to finally find the guts to do it. 35 hears at the time and 40 armour points, after all but beating the final boss. Lots of bullet time and patience, especially when dodging the major attacks.
I want the Twilight Cap and have to defeat a King Gleeok... that'll take another few weeks to prepare for.
For anyone wanting to take down their first Gleeok, I'd recommend the one in the coliseum.
You can easily get bullet time by ascending to the higher floors and jumping off. Hit the heads to get the stun. Rush in to deal some damage and get the hell away when it starts to recover. Rise, repeat until you've worn it down.
Rubber armor at level 2 or the lightning helm are nice to have as they'll save you from getting shocked, otherwise use no metal weapons, shields and bows. Not getting hit at all is the better strategy if you can pull it off though.
@Professor_PlumberThis is a tease for the next game where Link uses the power of the Tri-Force to transform into a Zonai Suit and can also use the Tri-Force power to summon Zonai Bots that can be used separately but can transform into a giant Mecha. Hyrule is located on a chunk of "Earth" stored on a giant broken Mecha arm.
